Favourite Oyakodon recipe 🥹 Oyakodon (親子丼) is a classic Japanese dish featuring a savory-sweet combination of tender chicken, eggs, and onions simmered in a dashi-based sauce and served over rice! It’s my go-to quick and easy meal and have made it several different ways but this is my favorite!! I’ve included some tips to making it the perfect, what we call in Japanese ~toro toro~ texture where the eggs are just barely cooked. ⭐️ 3 key tips! * Potato starch is the secret ingredient to keeping the chicken tender and adding a wee bit of body to the broth. * Low heat & uncovered (explained more in blogpost). * Adding nori on top of the rice adds flavour and prevents all the contents from dropping to the bottom of the rice bowl. 🔗 Full recipe & more tips on okonomi kitchen blog~
